As a political refugee, Sulkhan Zhordania embarked on a breathless, exuberant journey of his imagination. ÜberZhordania, Sulkhan

Sulkhan Zhordania was born in Kharkov, the Ukraine and brought up in Tbilisi, Georgia. In 1983 he received his Doctor's degree from the Institute of World Literature of Moscow. For years he worked in Tbilisi as a professor of American literature. Since 1998 Sulkhan Zhordania was banished from the press and in 2005 he had to ask for political asylum in Germany. In 2013 he was granted German citizenship.
